Biography
Ouri Bronchti was born in Israel in 1977. He started studying the piano at
the age of 7. Upon his arrival in Switzerland in 1990, he entered the
Conservatoire of Lausanne,
where he obtained a Graduate Diploma with a special
prize in 1997. He then continued at the same Conservatoire both accompaniment
and solo piano studies. He obtained the Postgraduate Diploma of accompaniment in
2000. He then received an offer of a position as staff accompanist in the same
Conservatoire.
He worked at the Conservatoire of Lausanne for four years, mainly playing for
singers, but also accompanying trumpets and clarinets. On the same time, he had
postgraduates lessons of chamber music in Bern (Switzerland) and
worked as repetiteur for some operas.
After four years, Ouri decides to return to studies, and chooses the
Royal
College of Music in London. He works with
Roger Vignoles,
John Blakely,
John Constable and
Susie Allan.
He obtains the Postgraduate Diploma in Performance (accompaniment)
in 2005 and the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced
Performance (opera repetiteur) with distinctions in 2006 (he
was then a Michael
Whittaker Scholar). During 2006-2007 Ouri will be a
trainee repetiteur at the
National Opera Studio.
Ouri Bronchti specializes now as accompanist and coach for singers, but plays
also regularly with instrumentalists and in chamber music ensembles.
